1. What Are Cookies?
Last updated: May 2026
Cookies are small text files placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to the owners of the site.
2. How We Use Cookies
We use cookies for the following purposes:
To enable essential functions of the website (session, authentication, security)
To measure our audience and improve site performance (Google Analytics) and to diagnose errors (Sentry)
To measure the performance of our advertising campaigns (Google Ads)
To display videos hosted by third-party platforms (YouTube, Vimeo)
To remember your preferences (language, accepted cookie categories)
In line with the GDPR and the French ePrivacy rules ("Loi Informatique et Libertés"), non-essential cookies are only set after you have given your consent via the cookie banner shown on your first visit. Your choice — acceptance or refusal — is kept for 6 months, and you can change it at any time using the "Manage cookies" link in the footer of every page.
3. Types of Cookies We Use
Essential cookies — always active (no consent required)
Authentication cookie (set when you sign in to your account) — keeps your session open for 2 hours
cookie-consent — stores your cookie choices for 6 months
Local browser storage used purely for display performance (image aspect-ratio cache in galleries) — contains no personal data
Audience measurement & diagnostics — with your consent
Google Analytics (loaded via Google Tag Manager): _ga and _ga_* cookies, lifetime capped at 13 months — anonymous traffic statistics
Sentry session replay — anonymised recording of page interactions to diagnose errors
Advertising — with your consent
Google Ads cookies (e.g. _gcl_au) — measurement of advertising campaign performance
External media — with your consent
YouTube (e.g. VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE, YSC) and Vimeo (e.g. vuid) — set only when an embedded video is loaded, either after consent or when you click "Load video" on a specific player
4. Third-Party Cookies
Cookies in the consented categories above are set by the following third parties:
Google (Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Google Ads) — audience measurement and advertising
Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.) — error diagnostics and session replay
YouTube (Google) and Vimeo — embedded video players
Stripe — secure payment processing; Stripe cookies are set on Stripe-hosted checkout pages, governed by Stripe's own cookie policy
Each third party is responsible for its own privacy and cookie practices.
5. How to Control Cookies
The simplest way is the "Manage cookies" link in the footer of every page: it reopens the preferences panel where you can grant or withdraw each category at any time. Withdrawing consent stops the corresponding cookies from being set; cookies already placed stop being used on the next page load.
You can also control and/or delete cookies directly in your browser. You can delete all cookies already on your computer and set most browsers to prevent them from being placed. If you do this, however, you may have to manually adjust some preferences each time you visit a site, and some services and functionalities may not work.
Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies
Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security
Safari: Preferences → Privacy
Edge: Settings → Privacy, search, and services
