Philippe Guelen

Embedded Systems Engineer & Head of Support

Philippe Guelen trained as an acoustics engineer, specializing in vibrations, electroacoustics and signal processing. He began his career by co-founding an audio startup before leading the electroacoustic development of the Debussy Audio smart headphone line at Funky Sound Studio, bringing the product from concept to functional prototype.

He later joined DXOMARK, where he helped establish the company’s audio benchmark division. Over four years, he contributed to the development of measurement protocols, perceptual evaluation methodologies and testing frameworks, while leading a team of nine engineers and co-authoring two Audio Engineering Society papers.

At HOLOPHONIX, Philippe oversees software quality assurance, hardware validation, embedded systems development, manufacturing coordination and technical support.

Alongside his engineering work, he develops and performs with a live audiovisual instrument of his own design, combining video, scenography and real-time media performance. His work reflects a longstanding interest in the relationship between technical systems and artistic creation.
