Routing Window
Signal Flow
In HOLOPHONIX, routing is achieved in the Routing window or using the Quick Routing option in the Inspector Tab for Sources, Speakers, and Bus.
It is important to remember that the signal flow in HOLOPHONIX obeys the following path:

You can perform quick routings from the Inspector’s Tab section for all of the routable elements of your preset, except Bus to Speaker. This Quick routing Feature is possible for:
- Sources in the Audio tab (In to Source) and Sends tab (Source to Bus)
- Buses in the Audio tab (Source to Bus)
- Speakers in the Sends tab (Speaker to Outs)
Input
Use this tab to assign an audio input to a Source or a Direct Routing. An input can be assigned to multiple sources, and a source can receive audio from multiple inputs.
Bus
Use this tab to assign a Source to a Spatialization Bus, with the following conditions:
- Each source can be assigned to a maximum of 8 buses,
- Ambisonics sources (A-Format, B-Format, HOA Stream, etc.) can only be assigned to HOA 3D buses.
Quick Routing for Bus to Speaker within the Inspector is not available, as you need to address each Bus channel in the two-dimensional matrix of the Routing window.
Speaker
Use this tab to assign Loudspeakers to Spatialization Buses.
When you assign Loudspeakers to a Bus, the processor will automatically transmit the speaker’s position to the algorithm that will adjust its calculations accordingly.
Make sure to assign the bus outputs to speakers that respect the appropriate layout considering the type of bus you are using. Refer to the appropriate algorithm page.
Output
Use this tab to assign your Speakers, LFE and Monitoring buses to audio outputs.
Test Generator
This test signal generator (pink noise) can be used to check your inputs and outputs.
Gain
Sets the level of the pink noise.
Channel selection
Use the channel drop-down menu to select to which input/output the test signal will be routed.
You can use the left and right arrows to route the signal to the next input/output.
An automatic switching option is available. Just choose the first and last inputs/outputs to be tested, set a timing and activate the automatic switching mode by clicking on the 'Auto' button.
Diagonal, Click & Drag Routing
HOLOPHONIX 2.3 improves the diagonal routing experience. Click on a starting cell, then hold Shift and click on the destination cell to create a diagonal between the two points. The click & drag option remains available.
Routing Level Indicators
With HOLOPHONIX 2.3, the routing tabs now indicate whether routed sources, buses, and speakers are receiving a signal.
