Connecting directly to the processor allows operating the user interface, but also allows you to perform tasks such as network configuration, updates, and so on. Those operations cannot be performed through the web interface.
Click on the top left icon to display or hide the names of the tabs.
This tab shows the HOLOPHONIX web interface (the same that you access in remote mode).
This display can be deactivated with 'PERFORMANCE MODE' (in the 'SYSTEM' tab), thus saving CPU resources on the processor.
Projects Management Tab
From the 'PROJECT' tab, you can choose the active project (load), unload the active project, create or delete (remove) a project, and export the active project.
The processor will automatically load the last selected project at startup. The active project name is displayed on the top right corner of the interface.
Projects are folders stored locally on the processor, containing data such as the venue map, the Presets, and all the files such as SDIF and HRTF files.
This tab also displays the status of the audio engine and of the project. If one of these color dots appear red, please check the LOG tab.
The 'EXTERNAL OSC KEYWORD FILTER' can be accessed from that tab.
OSC Output Filter
From the 'PROJECT MANAGEMENT TAB', the 'EXTERNAL OSC KEYWORD FILTER' can be accessed. It allows filtering some messages out from the OSC external output (OSC Send) of HOLOPHONIX.
Instead of having to write complete OSC commands, you can simply write keywords. Any OSC message containing that keyword will be discarded.
Add a new keyword with the 'ADD' button on the left of the screen, edit or delete a keyword by clicking on the pen and trash can icons at the right of the keyword.
To exit this window, click on the red cross.
The log tab displays information, warnings and bugs reported by the processor.
A copy of the complete log is saved in a persistent file. It can be accessed via the 'SYSTEM' tab, by clicking on 'SHOW LOG FILE'.
The ‘LOG’ section may contain important information concerning your preset configuration, such as a wrong bus configuration or a missing file. It will also display a notification in case of audio dropouts.
Use the system tab to
- access the network settings,
- shutdown or reboot the processor,
- show log files,
- activate/deactivate the performance mode.
The 'PERFORMANCE MODE' will deactivate the display of the web interface in the 'MAIN' tab on the processor. Activating this parameter will allow saving CPU resources. When it is activated, the web interface is still accessible with remote control.
Use the network settings to manually setup the IP address of the processor, or to set it up to automatic DHCP mode.
Access the network settings directly on the processor. Click on 'NETWORK SETTINGS' in the 'SYSTEM' tab of the HOLOPHONIX Server interface.
In the NETWORK application, click on the wheel to display the settings of the network interface you want to set up.
Open the IPv4 tab, select the IP address definition method (Automatic with DHCP or Manual), then, if needed, define the IP address and the network subnet mask ('Netmask').
IP Address in Automatic (DHCP) Mode
When the IP address is configured in Automatic (DHCP) mode, you will find the automatically defined IP address in the ‘DETAILS’ tab, under “IPv4 Address”.
However, since HOLOPHONIX version 1.6, it is not necessary anymore to know the IP address of the processor to connect to the web interface. Just enter holophonix.local in your web browser to connect to the web-interface.
We recommend using the following parameters for your network configuration, to ensure optimal operation.
It is recommended to use only one Ethernet Port on the processor for remote control, OSC and the internet.
If the internet access is on a different network, you may use a second port. However, it is recommended to keep remote control and OSC together.
