Setup View

The Setup view is used for various general configuration operations (such as audio parameters, OSC settings, shutting down or restart the processor, etc.).

Advanced tasks such as network configuration or system updates can only be performed directly on the station.

Choose one of the tabs in the Setup view.

Logs Tab

The Log tab shows messages to help identify the source of problems you might encounter. The error message often contains information about how to solve the problem if this is a configuration issue.

Those logs can also be accessed locally on the processor. A copy of the log file is saved on the processor. Check the Local Interface Logs Tab page for more details.

Audio Tab

From this tab you can set the buffer size of your Project.

You can also check the Sample Rate (which can only be adjusted through the Dante Controller® app), the CPU processor usage, and an audio dropout counter to help you optimize your Preset's performances.

The network ping latency to the station can help you check if there are any issues with your control network. It is not related to audio.

Buffer Size

HOLOPHONIX was designed to allow a low latency, while still offering high CPU power. Therefore, you can use very low buffer sizes with your HOLOPHONIX processor. However, for sessions with high DSP usage, it may be necessary to raise the buffer size to prevent any audio dropouts or distortions.

To avoid a global latency that would be too high, check the latency of every piece of equipment in your audio system.

To send OSC messages from HOLOPHONIX to an external device, add an OSC output with the 'Add' button, fill in the destination IP address and port number, then activate the output by clicking on the 'ON' button.

Use the 'Coordinate' column to choose if the sources' positioning will be outputted in XYZ or AED formats.

Ports 4002, 4001 and below 1024 are not allowed.

You can filter out of the OSC output messages on the processor's local interface. See the section "OSC Output Filter", page 20.

Map Tab

The Map tab offers several options set up the scale and position offset of the 3D VENUE pictures.

'DEPTH IN METERS' sets the scale of the displayed map. Enter the total depth of the map displayed in the TOP VIEW, from the back of the venue (front-of-house end) to the back of the stage.

Adjust the position of the map with 'CENTER X, Y and Z'. Align the center of the map with the center of the coordinates system.

Misc Tab

From this tab, you can access the SHUT DOWN or REBOOT options. You can also shutdown or reboot the processor from the 'local' interface. See 'System Tab' of the Server Interface.
