CEO
Gaëtan Byk is a French entrepreneur, creative technologist, and lifelong advocate for the performing arts. Raised at the crossroads of sound, innovation, and artistry, he was mentored early on by his father, Bernard Byk — co-founder of the iconic Amadeus brand — and shaped by legendary artists and engineers who helped forge his vision: sound technology as a tool to elevate artistic expression.
In 2017, he founded HOLOPHONIX in collaboration with IRCAM and CNRS to push the boundaries of spatial audio. Now a benchmark in 3D sound, its systems power major institutions like the Comédie-Française, Paris Opera, La Scala, and Théâtre National de Chaillot. After more than a decade of involvement, Gaëtan acquired Amadeus in 2021 and redefined its international trajectory. Under his leadership, the brand expanded globally and introduced the concept of Haute Couture Sound. Notably, he co-created the Philharmonia speakers with Pritzker Prize-winning architect Jean Nouvel.
Driven by a philosophy of human-centered sound design, Gaëtan continues to shape immersive audio experiences where acoustics, architecture, and emotion converge.
